By law, all food handlers must have an understanding of the principles of food hygiene and know how to work safely to protect the food they serve from contamination. Riverside Bread staff are qualified to Level 2 in Food Hygiene and Safety.
This covers our legal responsibilities and what constitutes best practice in regards to controlling food safety hazards, controlling temperatures, food storage, food preparation, personal hygiene and premises cleaning.
At Riverside Bread we take allergens extremely seriously. We tell customers if any food we provide contains any of the listed allergens as an ingredient: celery, cereals containing gluten (such as wheat, barley and oats), crustaceans (such as prawns, crabs and lobsters), eggs, fish, lupin, milk, molluscs (such as mussels and oysters), mustard, peanuts, sesame, soybeans, sulphur dioxide and sulphites and tree nuts (such as almonds, hazelnuts, walnuts, brazil nuts, cashews, pecans, pistachios and macadamia nuts).
This also applies to any additives, processing aids and any other substances which are present in our products.
